Ed Kernisky Vice President, Associate Broker
Ed is a licensed real estate broker who has been in the real estate business, leasing and managing commercial properties for over 32 years. He has been associated with Union for 25 years, and was appointed Vice President in 1994. Prior to that time he was with Kossman Development Company, Interstate Properties and Cafaro Company. He belongs to the International Council of Shopping Centers, the Greater Pittsburgh Board of Realtors, and the Building Owners & Managers Association.Joe Hodson Leasing Representative
Joe is a licensed real estate salesperson with 20 years experience in the commercial real estate industry from the landlord and tenant points of view. He worked at Union Real Estate Company for 6 years, and returned in 2000. In the interim, he worked as a real estate leasing representative for American Eagle Outfitters, Inc. and General Nutrition Centers finding new retail sites and negotiating leases with strip center and mall developers throughout the United States. Joe has experience in mall leasing with Crown American Properties and brokerage with The Galbreath Company. He is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and Greater Pittsburgh Board of Realtors.
Michele Slater Director of Accounting and Finance
Michele has been the Controller for 17 years. She is a licensed Certified Public Accountant and a member of American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, as well as the Pittsburgh Chapter of the Pennsylvania Institute of CPA's. She has worked in the real estate management industry since 1987. Prior to joining Union, she was an assistant property controller for Kravco Company, King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, and worked two and one-half years in public accounting for Laventhol & Horwath, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Gary Baacke Director of Operations
Gary is a licensed real estate agent who has been in the real estate business, managing properties for over 10 years. He has coordinated various construction projects, such as canopy renovations, culvert reconstruction, and tenant build-outs.
